TURMERIC: A MIRACULOUS AYURVEDIC REMEDY FOR CUTS AND WOUNDS

Getting cuts, wounds, scrapes are a part of life- accidents happen! Thanks to the magical powers of TURMERIC, healing such minor accidents can be quick. In Ayurveda, turmeric holds remarkable powers in healing cuts and relieving pain. This golden spice contains curcumin, a potent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial compound that reduces swelling, prevents infections, accelerates the healing process and promotes skin repair.

So HOW CAN I APPLY TURMERIC TO BEGIN THE HEALING PROCESS?

It couldn’t be simpler! Make a paste with turmeric and water (or turmeric and aloe) and apply it gently on your wound, cover it with a band-aid to keep the turmeric in place and avoid staining anything, and voila! Note that turmeric is a vibrant yellow spice that stains your skin and everything it touches, but its benefits far outweigh the fear of stains in my books!

Not only does it help heal the cut faster, but also acts as a natural pain medicine- the first time I experienced this I was in absolute awe and now it is my go-to for such minor cuts! Incorporating turmeric in your diet can further harness its Ayurvedic magic, so feel free to add it to your cooking or add a pinch to your water (pro tip: consume turmeric with black pepper to further increase its absorption and multiply its effects).

Embrace the wisdom of Ayurveda and let turmeric come to your rescue next time you have a minor injury. Happy healing!
