The best masala AVOCADO spread

The one I cannot live without! I have recently been head over heels for this green superfood! I love love love eating avocados every single day. And I know they do everything they claim to because I can see and feel the difference on the days I miss my daily dose of this green gem!

So what makes avocados a miracle food, you ask? Well, lets see…

Heart + Brain

Avocados contain monounsaturated fat- the good fat! Studies have found that consuming monounsaturated fat boosts brain function, lowers bad cholesterol, and improves heart health. As an added bonus, the skin is visibly soft and supple!

Hair

Vitamins B and E present in avocados not only nourish the hair, but also work at the cellular level to promote hair growth and repair scalp damage.

Weight loss

The protein, monounsaturated fat, and water content in avocados leave you feeling satiated for longer.

Skin (read: Anti-aging)

When exposed to the environment, our body produces free radicals which harm our skin cells. Avocados contain antioxidants such as carotenoids, vitamin E and vitamin C that help protect against such damage. Vitamin E and C also provide anti-aging benefits and boost collagen that keeps our skin firm.

Pairing avocados or avocado oil with foods rich in carotenoids– such as orange, tomatoes, and other red fruits and veggies– increases their absorption in our body. Carotenoids protect our skin from environmental havoc, prevent fine lines and wrinkles, and improve our skin’s texture.

Need I give you more reasons to stuff your face with this green goodness? If you are a flavor and spice lover like me, you will also go bananas for avocados with the below recipe for an avocado spread- enjoy!
